What is Wordego?

Which advertising models does Wordego offer?

The total profits you generate from CPM and CPC ads are reported in eCPM model and are transferred into your account in real time.

What is the CPC advertising model?
CPC stands for “Cost Per Click”. In the CPC advertising model, you generate income for each ad clicked on your web site, based on the unit prices determined per clicks.
What is the CPM advertising model?
CPM stands for “Cost Per Mille Impressions”. In the CPM advertising model, you gain profit for each ad displayed* on your web site, based on the unit prices determined per 1000 impressions.

What is the eCPM advertising model?

What is Real Time Bidding (RTB) and what does it provide to my web site?
Real Time Bidding (RTB), is the selling of each ad space on your web page to the advertiser who offers the highest unit price, within a time frame that is as short as the loading of the page.

How can I add my web site to the Wordego Publisher Network?
In order to add your web site to the Wordego Publisher Network, you must enter your web site’s address on the “Add Web Site” page on the Wordego Management Panel, and submit your operation after selecting the site categories which defines best your web site. Once you register your web site, your site’s acceptability shall be inspected by Wordego officials and you will be notified about the result within 3 days.
If my web site is not accepted to the Wordego Publisher Network, can I re-apply?
In case your web site is not accepted to the Wordego Publisher Network, you will be notified about the reason by an e-mail. In such a case, if you wish to re-register your web site on the Wordego Publisher Network for re-evaluation, you can do so after bringing your site in compliance with the conditions of the Wordego Publisher Contract at earliest within 1 month after the refusal date. If you apply earlier, your application shall be refused by the system.
Why is my web site not accepted to the Wordego Publisher Network?
The probable reasons for your site of being not accepted to the Wordego Publisher Network could be; your web site includes contents that are in contradictory to the conditions of the Wordego Publisher Contract, or it has insufficient content or visitor traffic as per Wordego’s own discretion.
What are the ad sizes that I can use on my web site?
You can add the following sizes of ads on your web site: billboard (970x250), large leaderboard (970x90), leaderboard (728x90), banner (468x60), large rectangle (336x280), large mobile banner (320x100), mobile leaderboard (320x50), half page (300x600), medium rectangle (300x250), square (250x250), wide skyscraper (160x600) and skyscraper (120x600).
How can I add Wordego ads on my web site?
In order to add Wordego ads on your web site, you must enter to the “Get Ad Code” page on the Wordego Management Panel, select the ad sizes you wish to add, copy the ad codes and paste them within the body tag of your web site’s codes. (Ex: <body> ad code </body>).
How can I remove Wordego ads from my web site?
In order to remove the Wordego ads from your web site, it is enough to delete the ad codes on your web site.
How many ads can I place on each page of my web site?
You can place maximum 5 Wordego ads per each page of your web site. If this number is exceeded, the additional ad spaces are shown as blank.
Can I place Wordego ad codes on the subdomain addresses of my web site?
Wordego ad codes are designated exclusively for each web site and ad size, and they have domain based security infrastructure. Therefore you must register on your account each subdomain address that you want to display Wordego ads, and use the ad codes that belongs to them.
Can I place Wordego ad codes on my other web sites?
Wordego ad codes are designated exclusively for each web site and ad size, and they have domain based security infrastructure. Therefore you must register on your account each web site that you want to display Wordego ads, and use the ad codes that belongs to them.
Can I place Wordego ad codes on my social media pages?
It is legally and technically not possible to use the Wordego ad codes on the web pages that you don’t have access to their page codes (like social media web pages).

What is the reason of displaying blank ads on my web site?
You can place maximum 5 Wordego ads per each page of your web site. If this number is exceeded, the additional ad spaces are shown as blank.
How can I block the ads that I don’t want to be displayed on my web site?
Wordego does not display any ads that are against laws, morality or public sensitivities. In this regard, there are very strict filtering and inspection mechanisms in place. Aside from these, if there are any other ads that you wish to be blocked, you can make a request by sending an e-mail to support@wordego.com.
What does it mean that the status of my web site is inactive?
If your web site is in inactive status, this means that there are no Wordego ads displayed on your web site. You can change the status of your web site into active at any time you require, by entering to the “My Web Sites” page on the Wordego Management Panel. If you enter to the “Get Ad Code” page on the Wordego Management Panel, get the ad codes that belong to your web site and paste them on the related ad spaces, the ads shall automatically start to be displayed and your revenues shall be reported instantly on your panel.
What is the renewal frequency of the data reported on the Wordego Management Panel?
In Wordego everything is performed and reported online. The information reported on your management panel reflects the values of the exact moment when you enter the page.
Does Wordego ads have any effect on my web site’s performance?
Wordego ads are designed to be loaded asynchronously (independent from the content of your site) during your web site’s codes loading, and thus they don’t generate any additional load to your web site. Wordego ads are compatible with all browsers and they don’t overlap with the content of your web site under no circumstances. Wordego ads have no effect on your web site’s performance or bandwidth.
What is the ad revenue share I get in return for the ads displayed on my web site?
The default ad revenue share that you get from the ads displayed on your web site is 75% of the income that Wordego generates from the advertisers in return for the ads clicked or displayed* on your web site. Wordego reserves the right to increase or decrease your web site’s default ad revenue share at its sole discretion.

How does the advertising revenues I get in return for the ads displayed on my web site calculated?
The amount of income you generate from the click based (CPC) ads displayed on your web site are calculated by multiplying the unit price of the clicked ads with your default ad revenue share (75%); and the amount of income generated from the impression based (CPM) ads displayed on your web site are calculated by multiplying the unit price of the displayed* ads with your default ad revenue share (75%).

What is the minimum payment limit of my accumulated revenues?
Depending on the currency you have determined while setting up your account, the minimum payment limit of your accumulated revenues is 100 (TRL, USD or EUR).
How can I get the payment of my accumulated revenues under the payment limit?
Depending on the currency you have determined while setting up your account, the minimum payment limit of your accumulated revenues is 100 (TRL, USD or EUR).

In order to get payments under the payment limit, your must have closed your account. To close your account, you must send an e-mail to support@wordego.com and require the closing of your account. Your account shall be closed within 10 working days from the receive date of your request. When you close your account, your accumulated revenues shall be payed on your bank account within approximately 45 days following the last day of the month in which your account is closed.

But in any situation, Wordego shall not pay the dues amounts that are less than 25 (TRL, USD or EUR), depending on the currency you have determined while setting up your account. Wordego may keep the dues amounts less than these in exchange of administrative fees.
When and how does my accumulated revenues payed?
Depending on the currency you have determined while setting up your account, your accumulated revenues over 100 (TRL, USD or EUR) are payed via bank transfer to your account, within approximately 45 days following the account balance operations at the end of each month.
Can I get my accumulated revenues payment with any other method than the bank transfer?
Wordego does not use any payment methods other than the bank transfer.
Do I have to ask for the payment of my accumulated revenues?
You do not need to make any requests to get the payment of the ad revenues accumulated on your account. Your revenues shall be automatically payed on your bank account on their due dates.
Can I transfer the ad revenues accumulated on my publisher account to my advertiser account?
Wordego publisher and advertiser accounts are fiscally and legally independent from each other. For this reason, it is not possible to transfer the ad revenues accumulated on your publisher account to your advertiser account.
Do I need to raise invoice or pay tax in return for my advertising revenues?
In respect to your advertising revenues, any valid taxes and due impositions of any official authority shall be paid by you. Within this frame:

(a) If you are a legal entity residing outside Turkey; you must raise an invoice to Wordego with the exact amount of the monthly payment you shall receive. The payment of your revenues shall be made after delivery of your electronic or printed invoice to Wordego. It is your liability to declare the revenue you obtained in accordance with the laws of the country you reside.

(b) If you are a real person residing outside Turkey; Wordego shall raise you a note of expense with the exact amount of the monthly payment you shall receive and shall pay you the entire amount. It is your liability to declare the revenue you obtained in accordance with the laws of the country you reside.

(c) If you are a legal entity residing in Turkey; you must raise an invoice to Wordego with the exact amount of the monthly payment you shall receive (including VAT). The payment of your revenues shall be made after delivery of your electronic or printed invoice to Wordego.

(d) If you are a real person residing in Turkey; Wordego shall raise you a note of expense, and shall pay 80% of your monthly payable amount to you, and the remaining 20% to the tax administration as income tax in your name.

What are the web spaces that are considered as having forbidden content?
In respect to the conditions of the Wordego Publisher Contract, the web spaces that are considered as having forbidden content are as follows:

1. Web spaces which are hard to enter or leave.
2. Web spaces which are only or essentially designated to show ads.
3. Web spaces functioning as a bridge page (a web page which is designated to divert visitors to a different web site).
4. Web spaces that are related to inactive domain name sites (web sites that contain web pages showing only advertising indexes and links).
5. Web spaces which copy the contents of other web sites by using “mirroring”, “framing” or other techniques.
6. Web spaces that are related to malicious softwares (softwares which are designated especially to damage computers or softwares running on them).
7. Web spaces using phishing techniques (changing a web site to seem like another web site in order to collect users’ personal information).
8. Web spaces that are devoted to collect personal information and/or offering free gifts and/or other encouragements in exchange of personal information.
9. Web spaces that are related to promotion of hacking, by providing instructions and hardware to access or modify softwares, servers, mobile phones or web sites in illegal ways.
10. Web spaces that encourage hostility or violence concepts; and/or advocating any hostility against a company, person, group, nation, ethnic origin, color, national origin, religion, disability status, gender, age, seniority status, sexual orientation or sexual identity; and/or warping historical events against interests of a group; and/or encouraging people to harm themselves or inciting violence against humans or animals.
11. Web spaces that are promoting; tobacco or tobacco related products (cigarette, cigar, pipe, wrapping paper, electronic cigarette or its refills etc.); alcohol or alcohol related products; drugs or synthetic pleasure giving substances; herbal drugs; chemicals and compounds having psychoactive effects; tools for using drugs and products to pass the tests of aforesaid products illegally.
12. Web spaces promoting; any kind of weapons (pistols and rifles, their pieces and equipments, ammunition, bombs, knifes, throwing stars, etc.); devices designated for causing serious damage or injury; fireworks or firework show materials.
13. Web spaces related to gambling or gambling related products.
14. Web spaces related to sexual services for adults, escort services, prostitution or any other sexual services for adults.
15. Web spaces that are related to any kind of pornography or sexual products.
16. Web spaces that are related to delicate subjects (unpredictable or exceptional social events such as natural disasters or political insurrection).
17. Web spaces that are related to selling or promotion of imitated products.
18. Web spaces that are related to copying or distribution of materials protected under copyright.
19. Web spaces that are related to financial support or donation collection.
20. Web spaces that are related to getting forged documents and titles.
21. Web spaces that are related to promotion of illegal academical helps providing unfair academical advantage (getting exam questions beforehand, giving an article which was prepared by someone else as if it was his or her own original study, taking an exam for someone else, etc.).
22. Web spaces that can violate valid official trade sanctions.

25. Web spaces that assert being a subsidiary of Wordego and/or being in a business partnership or in any other kind of private relationship with Wordego, without being clearly authorized by Wordego.

Web spaces that are related to; preparation and distribution of prescription drugs; active pharmaceutical ingredients or herbal and dietary supplements including hazardous substances; products which are promoted as their usage is trustworthy or efficient to avoid or cure an illness or sickness; products which are not approved by government or products which cannot be sold with prescription; products which are intimated or asserted to be as effective as anabolic steroids; products which are intimated or asserted to be as effective as weight loss medicaments that are being sold with prescription; products which are intimated or asserted to be as effective as impotency medicaments that are being sold with prescription; products containing Ephedra’s; products which are intimated or asserted to be effective in weight loss or weight control; products of DHEA and melatonin; products asserting false or misleading statements about health, products promoting HIV tests that are carried out at home; products promoting paternity tests; registration or attender acceptance for clinical experiments; abortion; and any other products and services that can harm human health.
27. Web spaces that are related to promotion of products gathered from animals in danger of extinction or endangered animals.
28. Web spaces that are related to facts which are contradictory to current laws and orders.
What are the actions that are considered as forbidden usages?
In respect to the conditions of the Wordego Publisher Contract, the actions that are considered as forbidden usages are as follows:

1. Displaying and/or clicking an ad directly or indirectly with malicious or fraudulent intention by repetitive manual clicks or by using robots and other automatic tools, but not limited to these.
2. Revising, changing, filtering, cutting, re-ordering, deleting, hiding, maximizing, minimizing or framing an ad or placing it on a different space other than the fixed spaces on the page.
3. Framing, maximizing, minimizing, deleting or blocking the display of any web site that the end user reaches after clicking on the ad.
4. Reaching, starting or activating an ad directly or indirectly through any software, web site or web space other than the authorized ones or implementing an AD to any software, web site or web space other than the authorized ones.
5. Processing, indexing or caching ads or the informations gathered from any part, copy or derivative of them with web crawler, web spider or other methods.
What happens if there are any forbidden usages on my web site?
Wordego instantly determines and records the displaying and clicking formats of all ads published on your web site; in terms of ad placement, visitor, time and method.

In case of determination of any forbidden usages on your web site, the revenues generated this way shall be deducted from your account and you shall be notified with a warning e-mail. In case the forbidden usages continue, your web site and/or your account shall be suspended without secondary warning.
What happens if my web site is suspended?
If your web site is suspended, the display of Wordego ads on your web site shall be stopped, and your web site shall be removed from the Wordego Online Programs.
What happens if my account is suspended?
If your account is suspended, the display of Wordego ads on all the web sites registered on your account shall be stopped, and your account shall be removed from the Wordego Online Programs together with all your web sites.
What happens to my accumulated revenues if my account is suspended?
If your account is suspended, your accumulated revenues shall be payed on your bank account within approximately 45 days following the last day of the month in which your account is suspended.

How can I close my account?
In order to close your account, you must send an e-mail to support@wordego.com and require the closing of your account. Your account shall be closed within 10 working days from the receive date of your request.
What happens to my accumulated revenues if I close my account?
If you close your account, your accumulated revenues shall be payed on your bank account within approximately 45 days following the last day of the month in which your account is closed.
